Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using the services of Potomac Home Services ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Services

Potomac Home Services provides tree care, landscaping, and property maintenance services in Northern Virginia. Services include but are not limited to:

• Tree removal, pruning, and trimming
• Stump grinding and removal
• Emergency tree services
• Landscape design and installation
• Lawn care and maintenance
• Property maintenance services

Estimates and Pricing

All estimates are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified. Final pricing may vary if conditions differ from those observed during the initial consultation. Any changes to pricing will be communicated before work begins.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in writing. We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. For larger projects, a deposit may be required to schedule work.

Scheduling and Cancellation

By Customer: If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours notice. Short-notice cancellations may result in a rescheduling fee.

By Company: We reserve the right to reschedule services due to weather conditions, equipment issues, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will make every effort to notify you as soon as possible.

Property Access

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to your property for our crew and equipment. Please ensure gates are unlocked, pets are secured, and any obstacles are removed from work areas. You are responsible for marking any underground utilities, irrigation systems, or other hidden features.

Liability and Insurance

Potomac Home Services carries comprehensive liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. We take every precaution to protect your property during service. However, we are not responsible for:

• Pre-existing property damage
• Damage caused by hidden underground utilities not marked
• Damage to lawns from heavy equipment when ground conditions make damage unavoidable
• Damage caused by acts of nature following our work

Warranty

We stand behind our work and offer warranties on specific services:

• Tree Removal: We guarantee complete removal as specified in our estimate
• Plant Installation: 30-day warranty on installed plants with proper care
• Workmanship: We will correct any issues resulting from our work at no charge

Warranties do not cover damage from weather, pests, disease, improper maintenance, or other factors beyond our control.

Permits and Regulations

You are responsible for obtaining any necessary permits unless we have agreed in writing to obtain them on your behalf. We will inform you if permits are required. You are responsible for ensuring our work complies with any HOA rules or local ordinances.

Emergency Services

Emergency services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Emergency rates may apply for after-hours, weekend, or immediate response services. We will inform you of any premium charges before beginning emergency work.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will first be addressed through good faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be handled according to the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
